About VSolitaire
VSolitaire is a free solitaire game for the web, iPhone and Android. Klondike, the solitaire most people grew up with, is the main game, in Draw 1 and Draw 3. Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, TriPeaks, Golf, Yukon, Scorpion and Canfield are there too.
Why same-deal play
Two solitaire deals can be very different: one falls into place, the next is stuck from the start. Comparing scores from different deals mostly measures the shuffle. So every competitive mode on VSolitaire gives everyone the same cards:
- Races: play another person live on the same deal. The first to move all 52 cards to the foundations wins.
- Daily Challenge: one deal a day for everyone, ranked by the fastest finish.
- Challenge links: after a win, send the deal to a friend. They get one attempt to beat your score.
- Weekly speed challenge: five attempts each week at fresh deals that the server has checked can be won.
Fair results
On a protected deal, the server holds the deck. Your device only sees the cards that are face up and the cards you are about to turn. The server checks every move and keeps the clock, and leaderboards and records only use results it has verified. In the speed challenge, runs with machine-like timing are held for review.
The statistics page publishes what our games show, with counts and limits, and the research page explains what we record.
Free to play
VSolitaire is free. There are no purchases or subscriptions, and no ads on vsolitaire.com. Copies of the game hosted on some third-party game portals may show that portal's ads.
VSolitaire used to run weekly cash prizes for the top of the leaderboard. That program has ended: there are no cash prizes, entry fees or payouts today. Competition now happens on the leaderboard, in the Daily Challenge and in the speed challenge.
